This year's Montessori Europe Annual Congress aimed to focus us to recognise the challenges we and future generations face but also to inspire us to discuss how we can act. Speakers included Dr. Angeline Lillard and Dr. Laura Flores Shaw and participants had the opportunity to learn with and from one another in plenaries, break-outs and and informal open house session.
Location
Online Zoom meeting
Date
21 – 22 May

Montessori was an advocate for the care of the natural environment, human rights, equal rights for all, anti-racism, social justice, and development, the foundation for peace. Through her advocacy, much was accomplished. She not only recognised a problem, but she took action on her own and collectively with others and she has set an example for us to follow.

Montessori herself encouraged us to “walk together on this path of life, for all things are part of the universe, and are connected with each other to form one whole unity” (Montessori, To Educate the Human Potential [Kindle], 2007:11) and this Congress encouraged participants to step onto that path.

Registration was free and open to all. Recordings of the presentations and certificates of attendance were exclusively available for members of Montessori Europe.
