How can we support children and adolescents in developing a meaningful, emotional connection to the ocean — one that inspires care, responsibility, and action? This webinar introduces Letters to the Sea, an international initiative that invites young people to write or draw letters addressed to the ocean, expressing their memories, concerns, and hopes for its future. Through this creative process, children contribute their voices to a global conversation on ocean protection and sustainability.
During the session, Somos OceanoS and Onewater will share how the project works, how the letters are curated and showcased worldwide, and how educators and organisations can participate using the Letters to the Sea Toolkit.
Ideal for educators, schools, and organisations interested in youth engagement, ocean literacy, and sustainability.
